Perched atop one of Sydney’s most coveted vantage points, the Derby Street Residence captures sweeping views of the Harbour Bridge, Opera House, and Lower North Shore coastline. Originally envisioned with French-inspired luxury, the design evolved into a refined modern minimalism.
As the lead interior designer, I oversaw the home’s aesthetic direction, focusing on bold materiality and sculptural forms. A statement kitchen island wrapped in green-veined stone introduces organic fluidity, complemented by bespoke details such as a three-tiered steel staircase, a sculptural fireplace wall, and an internal courtyard. The result is a sophisticated yet understated home that balances craftsmanship, functionality, and contemporary elegance.
